Guitar Lessons Overview

If you’ve always wanted to learn to play the guitar, but weren’t sure where to start, then HCM’s guitar lessons could be just what you’re after.

They last either 30, 45 or 60 minutes (it’s up to you), they can be group or one-on-one tuition, and you can choose between the electric and acoustic guitar. Even if you’re a seasoned guitarist, our lessons are a great way to improve your technique and develop new skills.

Guitar Lessons fee

  • Group guitar lessons are £13 per student per lesson (charged by term) for a 45 minute session in groups of up to six students.
  • Paired guitar lessons consisting of one teacher and two students are £13 per student per lesson for a 30 minute session.
  • One-on-one guitar lessons are £19.50 for a 30 minute session or £39 for a one hour session.

PERFORMANCE LESSONS

On top of guitar lessons, all our HCM guitarists are encouraged to join our weekly Band Coaching Lessons. These focus on performance techniques and teaching our guitarists how to be successful band members. Each week, you’ll jam with your fellow student musicians from across the different HCM instrument classes, all in preparation for the always-exciting HCM End of Term Concert.

AWARDS

At HCM, we believe it can be beneficial for student guitarists to study for and sit graded instrument exams because it allows you to gauge your improvement and development over time. Our lessons all follow the RSL graded syllabus for electric and acoustic guitar from Debut to Grade 8. For teenage students, these graded syllabus lessons can complement other activities, such as GCSE Music or Duke of Edinburgh Award schemes.
