Bobby Harrison

Bobby Harrison is a UK based session guitarist, singer and songwriter who has performed live with Sir Cliff Richard, Brian May, Olivia Newton John and Bonnie Tyler.

Bobby has played at many prestigious venues, including numerous appearances at London’s Wembley Arena, Royal Albert Hall and O2 Arena; Red Rocks Amphitheatre, Colorado; The Greek Theatre and Gibson Amphitheater in Los Angeles; The Fillmore and The Warfield in San Francisco; The Bell Centre, Montreal and headline slots at Glastonbury and Isle Of Wight festivals.

In addition to his work as a sideman for Cliff Richard, Bobby toured the USA, Canada, South America, Europe and The Middle East extensively, with Brit Floyd, The Classic Rock Show and The Australian Pink Floyd Show, as well as playing guitar for the hit Queen show We Will Rock You in London’s West End, Zurich, Stuttgart and Vienna. Another notable theatre experience includes a 2009 European tour as guitarist for Richard O’Brien’s Rocky Horror Show.

Bobby’s studio work includes sessions for the late composer Michael Kamen, Westlife, The Lighthouse Family, BA Robertson and Dame Kiri Te Kanawa. Additionally, Bobby played guitar on the soundtrack to the animated movie The Snurks (Back to Gaya), starring Patrick Stewart and provided session guitar, vocal and songwriting duties for Zomba Music Publishing. Bobby’s TV appearances include The National Lottery Show, This Morning, Loose Women and Songs Of Praise, as well as appearances on PBS in the United States. His radio appearances include BBC Radio 2, BBC Radio 4 and WDVE, Pittsburgh. Initially self-taught, Bobby later went on to study privately with top UK tutor Phil Hilborne, and later still, acquired certificates in Blues and Rock Guitar from Berklee College Of Music.

In April 2018. As a guitar teacher, Bobby has taught in many UK schools as well as privately. In 2018, he launched absolutebluesguitar.com, an immersive online blues guitar tuition website. Bobby holds artist endorsements with Eternal Guitars, Hot Rod Pickups, Kemper Amps, Elixir Strings and Hawk Picks.
