Dave is a diverse musician and versatile electric bassist, double bassist, composer and arranger whose skillset also includes strong vocals and guitar. He has a deep, natural groove and an ability to adapt to any style of music.
In the past he has supplied the low end for Lily Allen and has more recently been the touring electric and upright bass player for both Billy Bragg and Blair Dunlop. He has performed with Frank Turner and also acted as musical director for European artist Marina Kaye.
Dave regularly works as a studio musician, with recording credits including Gavin James, Joseph Washbourn (Toploader) and Jean-Patrick Capdevielle, as well as numerous development artists. He is a proud endorsee of Aguilar amplification and DR strings.
His work as a touring and recording musician has taken him to numerous countries, including the US, mainland Europe and Australia. Some of his touring highlights include performances at venues such as the Hammersmith Apollo, Sydney Opera House, Shepherd’s Bush Empire, Royal Festival Hall and Birmingham Symphony Hall.
